Thanks for the replies guys,
Wow - so Sooloos and Mac are not as compatible as we would have expected? I had no idea that Apple and Meridian were not compatible. Luckily for me I have (somewhere) an old laptop I'm going to need to dust off and start putting to good use!
Tomorrow I might go to the Apple store and see whether they can think of anything that might help, will let you know how I get on.

I know it doesn't bring much to the party but I haven't experienced any problems at all importing CDs from my iMac, do you have any other Macs to try? Can you run windows and try Control:PC?

As previously posted, you are either trying too soon after inputting the CD or maybe you have to run under an administrator account.
No problems ripping CDs on my end. What version of MacOS are you running?

Hi again!
Just to clear up any confusion - the error message only occurs when the drive is empty. As soon as there is a CD in the drive the 'import CD' button becomes unresponsive and, whilst the mouse icon changes from a pointer to a hand to show that the button is recognised, pressing on it doesn't do anything no matter how long I wait. And I'm running the latest OS under my admin account too... I'm currently compromising by using Max to rip CDs to FLAC onto my mac, then importing them from there. It works, but it's not the solution I was after.
Will update you all if I make any headway, and thanks for all your support!

I use the MC200 with DSP3200s. My problem is that when switching on the MC200 the volume is 65, and I can only can change it from "now playing" on the iPad or iPhone app. So I have to play something first to change the volume.
Other problem is that most populair Dutch radio stations won't work, or poor quality. For example, radio 538 is like AM radio. I made a account on the Radiotime site, switched on a better stream for 538 and tried to store it on the MC200, but poor quality again (the original stream again).

Afternoon!
Well I have so far spent a frustrating day trying to get my MC200 to work fully. My dealer has gone above and beyond in trying to sort things, even going so far as to contact Meridian and get them to check the MC200 is working properly over the internet - cracking stuff. Happily the MC200 is totally blameless in this regard, and is functioning as it should, which means there must be a problem with my mac...
...of to the apple store I go!

Hi Henry,
This does seem to ba a MAC setup issue regarding permissions / administator rights etc or something on your network is blocking communication with your MC200. You don't mention here what switches and routers you are using in your network, but there are some known issues with a couple of popular routers (BT HomeHub and some Tiscali units) which cause a plethora of strange occurences when used with MACs - Should you be the proud owner of such (or others to be on the safe side) I would check whether there are any firewalls / permissions etc blocking your MC200's path. Good luck, and enjoy your Sooloos!

In terms of being an administrator account, I checked mine. I set up a guest user account (non- admin) and managed to rip CDs no problem, so I doubt it is that. Re new Mac, check out the refurbs on the Apple website, much cheaper. Could you borrow someone else's mac for a try before you buy ( you could always take the new Mac back if it didn't work anyway)?

It may be worth taking the MC200 to the Apple Store, perhaps making an appointment at the 'Genius' bar? They tend to be very helpful and will probably get it sorted for you. I had some issues at first with my Ensemble but a change to an Apple router seems to have sorted out most of them. Good luck!

Hi
I have a MacBook 13" dual core and BT Home hub. I have admin privileges on the account (see previous posts regarding install problems and Admin privileges) and I now have no problems importing CDs or the iTunes library so it can work with MacOS and BThome hub.
I also have ControlMac on my MacBook Pro and it works fine. My MC200 has a SspeakerLink to comms connection and the system volume works fine.
I use an iPod touch and iPhone for day to day control and you can swim and control the volume with those apps.
I would like to be able to export album picks to my iPhone from ControlMac; has anybody succeeded in doing this? If so could you post how you did it.

Hello everyone!
Sorry for my absence over the weekend, I was away celebrating getting the problem on my MC200 FIXED!! Huge thanks to Sam and his colleagues at Phase 3 for suggesting to check the BT Homehub, as that is where the problem was. I have NO IDEA what the Homehub was doing interfereing with my MC200 setup, as I was still able to do all sorts of other Sooloos bits over the net without problem, but since changing the firewall settings I have been able to import CDs perfectly.
I hope this solves any similar problems other users may be having, thanks to everyone on the forum for all your help, please feel free to post any other issues with MC200s on here and let's see if we can't sort them out!
All the best, Henry

Could you describe what you did with the BT Homehub firewall settings
Many thanks
