Sorry for the stupid question...... If I upload this new firmware will I get a benefit from multi channel audio through my G68 for movies as well as 2 channel audio?
Dedicated theater room: 30'x15'x9
11-4-4 Atmos System. Trinnov Altitude16, 271, DSP750 LCR, DSP7200.2, sides, 7200SE Rear, 5200.2 front sides, 4 x 320.2 atmosphere, 4 x 24" GSG Subs, 2 x Stereo Integrity 12000 (6000w per sub each with own 30amp circuit)
JVC NZ900+DCR Lens Projector, Kaleidescape system.

Yes, assuming that your G98 is decoding the DD/DTS soundtrack and outputting it via a 3x coax SPDIF SmartLink connection to your G68. In this case, your G68 will up-sample up to six channels of audio.

So in my set up, what will be apodised?
PS3 -> G91 -> G68J
SkyHD -> G91 -> G68J
Airport -> G91 -> G68J
CD/DVD G91 -> G68J
G68J -> M33C / Amp & analogues If you are using G91 to decode and G68 to upsample then apodising will be in G68. Hence G91 is useful in your set-up for other sources as well. So you are good  Cheers, Kishore

If you are using G91 to decode and G68 to upsample then apodising will be in G68. Hence G91 is useful in your set-up for other sources as well. Though I was once advised by someone in Meridian Tech Support that decoding in the G68 and not up-sampling at all would probably sound better than decoding in the G91 and up-sampling...

Following the statement from Meridian regarding the use of their 'Intellectual Property' & 'Reverse-engineering of firmware' both of which are in violation of their T&C;
I'm locking this thread and asking that Apoupdate.exe and its use are not discussed any further on this forum.
If anyone has an issue with this please PM me.
