I hate to ask a question that appears to already be answered, but I'm not sure I got how this ended other than the fjords; those lovely, imposing fjords.
I have a G68J (i.e. no speakerlink, no BNC), and am currently using the G68J's two comms for speaker master, and an HD621.
I'm strongly considering buying a C15, but when I try to add it in the configuration app, it removes the comms from the HD621, and attaches the comms to the C15, leaving the HD621 comms-less.
Doesn't this mean that the HD621 would have to be manually controlled, or is there a clever solution.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

The 421 could get comms over HDMI from a Meridian player such as the 800 but it seems to me that the HD621 doesn't have this option and you probably don't have a Meridian player anyway.
It looks like you need a DIN to BNC adaptor or lead to take comms from the HD621 to the C15.
regards
Chris

Surely what the config app does with Comms is essentially irrelevant?
You just need a BNC-DIN cable on one of the links, and you have enough connections, as far as I can see.
(Just as an aside, the C15 does have two Comms connections, it's just that one is hidden in the SL port. You could get an SL-DIN cable for it though. I think Rick does them - I'm sure others would too.)
(Another aside - why are you buying a C15 rather than a MC200 and iPad?...)

Caldham & Mr Marbach, Thank you for the incredibly fast responses. I'll order the terminators and heat up my soldering iron.
Thank you!

Correct me if I am wrong, but can't you just connect the HD621 to G68 via an off the shelf BNC/BNC cable? No need for adaptors. This leaves G68 to speakers and C15 via DIN and to HD621 via BNC.

His G68 has no BNC, being as it's a J 'n all.

Do I need to push different buttons or is there something that I need to do in the programming? Hi Dolf. I'm assuming you have the G68 set as the 'Controller' (So it is the device that receives the IR command from the MSR) As Slartibartfast suggests, you need to set the Comms type to 4C for the Control 15 source (AUX) in the Meridian Configuration Program for the G68. This will then allow the MSR transport buttons to control the Play Queue on the Control 15 as if it were a CD. However if one of your DSP speakers is the 'Controller' then you need to set 4C Comms type for the Aux source in that speaker This is by default if you have latest firmware and SLS showing on the DSP speaker. Doesn't do much if you only have one track in the play queue though! Cheers, Rick

This board is such an incredible resource. My only regret is that I can only participate by asking questions. My knowledge level is well below being able to help out.
Thanks again for the super fast and great advice.

Hi Rick,
Thanks for your help but that is a 1 1/2 year old post. I have since upgraded to the 861v6 so I am now all SL.
