Hi MacGuy,

I don't understand your question; comparing a speaker with a source device. Can you elaborate?

Regards,
Carl

Hi,

Not sure if you've seen this, but there's a good (detailed) picture of the rear panel of the MC600 a few posts down on the following forum thread:

Ian

I don't see the Balanced Analog Audio out that was mentioned somewhere here.

Looks like a dvi and HDMI socket lurking on the back of the MC600. I wonder what that if for? Control screen or video?

I bet control screen. It seems an obvious expansion of the interface if you don't have a C10/C15 and use iPad.

FWIW this sort of set-up is already used on the AppleTV: when using the iPhone as a remote, both screens are used in different ways.

Oh, and doesn't a Control:Bridge have a DVI output on it? Is that the normal interface for Crestron?

FYI DVI is HDMI with no Audio. Pretty much.

DVI is kind of fading away these days.

Looking again at the MC600 it looks like a standard PC motherboard hence the inclusion of the sockets. It also uses a standard ATX PC powersupply.

Its too bad. For higher-end video only applications like the typically long run to a ceiling mounted projector, DVI-D is a WAY more robust connection format.

Happy Trails!

Saw that but, before I could ask, I was told "Don't ask!" :-)

Good catch. I think I see an eSATA too.

It will likely be over MSB-Net.

Well Sooloos runs on XP embedded.....

You'd probably see the same motherboard in a Control:10 or 15.
