Did we ever work out how a D5 cable is wired? sorry I've been quiet but life just got very hectic over the weekend and I'm just catching up now.

I'd be thinking the 512 is a dumb box, but you never know if that's all it needs?

I think the 512 is a dumb box, but the dsp33 isn't. It's got the intelligence to be a controller but no IR sensor for input. The 512 provides that sensor. That's how I read it.

there must be a dealer that can source the missing D5 cable seeing that no one can offer the wiring diagram.

Sorry I've been slow to respond here. the unexpectedly early arrival of out first daughter has kind of thrown things into disarray  anyway, it occurred to me that although I'm missing the D5 cable to use the 512 to control the DSP33's, could I do without it? the 512 sensor has a C5 cable attached doesn't it? can it control my HD621 directly and then I could use a BNC to DIN adaptor to control the DSP33s from the HD621's other comms socket? I plugged the 512 into the HD621 but I couldn't seem to get it to respond to the remote? should this work?

i dont think the 512 is wired as a c5 cable,and is the HD621 classed as a source component?
