Interesting comment.

I have NOT heard any of the speakers in this system so my observations are based purely on the manufacturers specifications.

Reviewing the specs of your speakers, I would imagine that your surrounds (two or four?) would be bass light and need directional reinforcement. Your centre is claimed to go to 350hz at -6db so could be termed bass light and I also notice it is very insensitive (and very attractive compared to most centres). The mains look like they are very bass capable and I recall that the reviews praised their seamless top-to-bottom coherence.

It seems reasonable to assume that a 250w ML monoblock is not any kind of limiting factor.

I had therefore assumed that the reason you had gone for such a complex set-up was because you wanted the bass to image in the same way as the higher frequencies. What you seem to be doing is trying to spread the LFE channel around the room. Or are you also processing some of the other channels to try and get your sought-after "slam"? In which case you surely have traded off imaging if it is directionless?

You know what you want and what you like, I am not questioning that - just understanding what you have achieved and how. And trying to understand how such a potentially capable set of components could have produced so disappointing a result.
