Thanks Joelc. Did you find that the audio quality was better if you split the signal in the player so that the audio output was not "contaminated" by the video?

You may have read elsewhere [https://www.meridianunplugged.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=130394&page=1] that the HD621 does not handle HDMI 1.4 or 3D. Meridian are suggesting the use of a player with two outputs like the new Oppo, so for some people that might be a reason to get one.
