If I was Rick I would stick with black, it is the most popular colour.

The graphite colour looks good but I suspect this colour may be a passing phase.

The 8000s I bought this week are burgandy and they look stunning!!

My black 8000s still look great though.

Hi Ronnie,
I have a full Meridian Select colour (RAL K5 classic) swatch precisely for that purpose, hundreds of colours in that!
It also has the standard; Silver, Black and Graphite samples.
If anyones considering a 'Selelct' speaker colour please get in touch and I could lend it out.

Certainly Black when it came to the 861/808 upgrade, I think all ours went out in black.
Graphite is quite popular with the speakers, but I guess black is the old favourite. Silver probably least.

Hi Rick
I'm familiar with what you're talking about............

However, what I meant is a Physical Sample (say 10 inches by 6 inch by 1 inch depth) of the 5-10 most popular colours

Something that a User or Wife or Interior Decorator can Physically handle and look at under different lighting etc.

You see similar things in Mercedes / BMW / Porsche / AM etc. showrooms

Might add the "Colour" in the Showroom that you might be looking for, whilst keeping the colour of the actual DSP's a "safe" and "resell-able" one

Just a thought............................

Hi Ronnie,

Yes that's a good idea, I'll investigate the possibility.

I love our graphite 8000's. We had black 7200's previously, but in a light coloured environment, the graphite just look less intrusive. Personally, I like the slight contrast between the black glass and grills and the "grey". Just my 2 worth.

Ha ha. Great link!

Out of interest are the custom colours much more expensive?

And what are the RAL codes for the standard colours?

Hi Stevo,

Select colours are an extra 15%, so that's 4,500 on top of a pair of DSP8000!

I'm not sure the standard colours have RAL numbers, they certainly aren't any references on my Meridian colour swatch.

Thanks Rick.

Ouch!

Especially as it's not actually a respray.......just an original spray in a different colour.
