Hi All,
We are just about to put a pair of DSP8000 on demonstration and can't make up our minds what colour to have.
Gloss Black, Silver or Graphite?
I thought I'd pose the question to Hitchhikers.
So which colour have you bought or would you buy?
Specifically the DSP8000, I think it makes a difference with the amount of drive units and therefore grille cloths they have.
I await your thoughts!
Rick

Gloss black for me at home, although for a demo should the speakers stand-out or "disappear" ? I'd probably order silver for demo purposes....

I'd have gloss black at home too - I look at 8Ks as being like pianos - musical instruments for life and piano black suits. My 7K2s are gloss black and they look gorgeous.

It's all shades of Grey, but will probably get the Meridian 'Red Rug' treatment and Cityscape wall.

1) Piano Black

2) Graphite

And then a big Sample Chart wall with Physical Samples of all the Meridian Colour samples.

I'm sure the company who does the Laquer for Meridian will sell you these Samples

Rick, in your experience, what colour tends to sell best?

I dont think you could really go wrong with any of the three colours but I'll give "Gloss Black" another thumbs up !

In order of preference :

1. Gloss Black
2. Graphite
3. Silver

Having had Graphite on demo for a few monthes I eventually went with Gloss Black and they look fab. So I guess my preference in order is:

Gloss Black
Graphite
Silver (which I personally don't like but to each his/her own...)

This is another analogy between Meridian and Aston Martin. smile The AM showrooms are "all shades of grey" and display jet black cars well. A brightly coloured car almost looks out of place.

Go for black. You can't go wrong.

I have graphite in a maroon room and I love the combo but I think a showroom should be dressed in black.

Check here.
