Bear in mind that firmware is EEPROM based. I can confirm that my 562V works fine with the V3.0 firmware (thanks again to Tahir for so generously letting me have it).

I've not tested whether it would pass through 24/96 as it only feeds into 18-bit speakers, but I'd probably bet against this.
