3. What is the HDI Dune Pro's interface like...is it easy to navigate...is it fast...is it slick looking...etc.

I think in your case there is only a need to get the Dune if you require better network media playing/streaming capability than the new Oppo will provide.
The Dune plays just about every video/audio format, and supports DVD and Bluray ISO's, and like the Oppo can decode Blu-ray DTS-HD MA lossless audio to PCM for feeding into an HD621.
It also allows you to add an optional digital satellite or terrestrial TV card.
However it cannot playback DVD-A or SACD discs, whereas the Oppo can.
Though these can be converted and ripped to hard disk as FLAC 24/96 format so the Dune will play them.
The GUI in the new HDI Dune pro is supposed to be better than the other models.
