The German Distributor (Armin2)....
Oh, I see, so that user is from Mansour Mamaghani's Audio Reference in Hamburg. Good to know. So I should be cautious when I write in this forum about price differences like others have already
Wow, that's something. Shouldn't dealers and distributors declare themselves in a place like this?...
Anyway, maybe it's a coincidence but having found the list of 2300 for HD621 too much to stomach, I thought I should at least give a German dealer a chance, so I emailed one a few days ago. He quoted a list of 2000 and said he could give it to me for 1790. Which means 25% less than the distributor's quoted list price...
Perhaps Armin2 has told his colleagues at the German distributor that he will loose sales if the prices are too high. (Not of course that the distribution to foreign countries can happen for free - we know there are costs involved.)
PS To be fair his profile lists their website as his website. But in none of his posts so far do I see the statement that he works for the distributor. Not a big deal, but makes me feel a bit uncomfortable...
