Can't wait... I have been watching his old stuff recently, particularly Memento and Insomnia, both of which are great.

Sadly Its not out on BD but Open Range ( Robert Duvall & Kevin Costner )has some of the most impressive gunfire sounds I have heard in a movie. I remember the guys from M&K used it to show off their latest sub offerings to great aplomb. Highly recommended to show off the dynamics for the sound alone & also quite a good movie , plus the DVD is dirt cheap here in UK!
Cheers

Will The Jap release was 1500kb sound on DTS DVD. It is out on BR now as well, not sure which region though. But I remember that gun shootout was the first time I made people jump with my system, every single one of them!
No Darling, I've had it months!

It is on Buena Vista/Disney's list for future release on Blu-Ray for Region A but there is no release date yet available. I'm certainly anxious to find out. Not sure for other regions.

It's on BD in France: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Open-Range-Blu-ray/4789/Region Free according to two sources, but some US players have problems with it if they don't support 50Hz properly (according to someone in the forum there). Was announced in the US but hasn't appeared yet: http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=111Didn't know it - looks interesting.

Believe me Toy story 3 in 3d at the Cinema is AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE. Also the bucket list in Bluray is incredible. Agree re Inception. My immediate reaction was "How do they write this stuff"? Alex

Bucket List was good? I should try that - love both actors.

Believe me Toy story 3 in 3d at the Cinema is AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE. I got dragged to this in 3D and, TBH, would have preferred to have seen it in 2D. I really like 3D when filmed stereoscopically, but have yet to be convinced with CGI 3D.

Was it too DIM??
Certainly been my experience with so many 3D movies, most of which aren't shot for the Dimming caused by the Polarized 3D Glasses
Avatar was a rare exception, as it designed from the outset as 3D and Cameron had plenty of 3D experience from his Titanic Documentaries on IMAX
I made a point of going to see Toy Story in 2D, as it was a late decision to show it in 3D

Possibly. The experience of wearing cruddy quality polarizing glasses detracts from the whole experience IMO. I need to source a pair of good quality lenses. Any ideas? I made a point of going to see Toy Story in 2D, as it was a late decision to show it in 3D Is the same true of the new Harry Potter?

Hi Joel Harry Potter is the same. Film shot as normal and then somebody in marketing decides to say "Why don't we do it in 3D"
They brighten it up a little to compensate and hey presto. Same with Clash of the Titans and almost all other recent releases. Depressing stuff.
Doing what Cameron did on Avatar is very expensive, so most don't do it.
You can buy a pair of Real 3D Glasses from their website. They are probably the leaders when it comes to 3D Projection system installations around the world. They are still limited by the film's genesis however.
I'm not sure if those Glasses will work at non Real 3D Cinemas though. Their website will also list their Installations near your area
Tip: A small but uncomfortable tip.........Incline your head to the Right by about 30 degrees. Surprising how much extra light and contrast the Polarised Glasses then let thru!!!!
