If a config load continues to fail try increasing the delay in M-config communication options as this can help.

800v3 Has 3*SPDIF SmartLink but no HDMI, so you must have a v4 spec or 800D.
800v4 Has HDMI and the back panel is made up of individual cards.
800D Same spec as v4 but the back panel is made up of just 2 large cards.

The serial number tells you what version the 800 was when built.
If is starts with a 4 you know it is an original v4 or 800D.
