Here's a quick check list; have you:

-- Connected up a DIN C5 comms lead to it (sorry but I have to ask)?
-- Edited you M-config config and added the 800 into it?
-- Checked that the "comms type" is correct in M-config?
-- Typed it, and then downloaded this new M-Config in to it?

Then press "clear" when all is in standby to make sure on the your G68 is a controller.

Does the volume display on the 800 keep in sync when you change volume:
1) With the MSR+ 2) From G68?
