Well done for finding it. I wonder if they are tying the two products together: Control 15 plus "DSP3200" is the entry level for the high end server?

Only 500Gb?

And aren't 2.5" drives more unreliable than 3.5" ones, or am I dreaming that.

2,5" does not "have" to be any less reliable, it all depends on the manufacturing and parts..

And as always, keep your data backed up!

Drive reliability and performance are affected by drive size, and M feel that if they stick to the 500Gb size then they can offer the same reliability as the rest of the Sooloos range.

Seems to make an Ensemble and the new iPad ap, assuming it gives a similar experience to a Control, look pretty attractive.

I think a lot of the perceived unreliability of 2.5" drives is because they are generally used in laptops which get more rough and tumble than a desktop which leads to premature failure of components.

I wonder if it (a) upsamples and therefore apodizes and (b) if it will have a Speakerlink output.

I was thinking they might force the Speakerlink/ID40 connection to be only for the premium products, rather like they did with the HD621. Although it would probably be a mistake to do that, as their USPs are rather few and/or rarefied and/or debatable.
