I do not see it mentioned in this thread, but you only get 'bitperfect' using ASIO. If you use standard Windows sound output (MM lib), the sound goes through the k-mixer, which basically ruines the sound. If your soundcard does not have an ASIO driver, you might try ASIO4ALL.

I tried Asio & Asio4All but could get no sound. I am using Wasapi which is also ment to be Bit Perfect. I cannot adjust volume in windows and presumed all is set OK. I found an artical for a DAC setup using J media and basically used the settings.
