Hi Ian,

Some background info on the DSP5200 feet.

The 5200s when new (4 years old now) where supplied with the standard spikes and the 25mm (ish) diameter black plastic spikes caps.

As I have wooden floors I just put felt pads under the speakers as I did not like the aesthetics of the spikes + caps.

When my dealer Music Matters installed my new 8ks and 7k2 last year they spotted my 5200s without spikes/caps; and they told me that Meridian had some larger diameter feet.

As I`d just bought the DSPs and in Meridian`s “good books” they set me a pack of feet, FOC.

I don`t know if these larger feet are now supplied standard or not with current specification 5200s.

I sold my 5200s complete with feet etc. today to a local fellow hitchhiker so the photos are all I have now frown
However, I`m expecting the arrival of a pair of 7200s anytime soon, well I hope it`s soon I haven`t had a confirmed date for them yet.

Trust this helps.

Regards,
Carl

RIP 5500s, a great speaker.
But 3100s, seemingly near dead at one point, lives on!

3100 only in silver, the rest sold-out?

Hi Duncan, Ian,

In the G61 section there are the following links:

G61R v2 Rear (168.5kb)
G61RSL Rear (2) (145.2kb)

However, the photos look the same and both have SpeakerLink outputs.
Is this correct, I thought only the "SL" model had SpeakerLink outputs?

Regards,
Carl

Hi Carl,

They are one and the same. I think (G61R v2 Rear) was named as such when it first came out and (G61RSL Rear) is as a result of Meridian giving it this suffix

Hi Ian,

I see, thanks for the explanation. Perhaps now that M have given us the official "SL" suffix only one reference is required.

Keep up the good work.

Regards,
Carl
