Oh, and the internet Radio, I love this!! Never bothered with it in itunes, but when it is on your TV it is perfect, thousands of radio stations covering every genre and you can add favourite stations.

I've just posted my experience on the 'Mac and Meridian' thread in case it is of any use...

I have both an Airport Express and an Apple TV. The key for uninterrupted streaming is to set up your network as an 802.11n exclusive (5Ghz) and interference from wireless phones and microwave ovens is minimal. Very elegant when combined with the Remote applet for iPhone and iPod Touch.

If the time capsule is dual band n and g surely it will automatically choose n for communicating with the airport?
I assume you can use the 'remote' app to control your music through the Apple TV in exactly the same way, but i am guessing you need to view the interface through your screen to navigate music stored on the apple tv box?

No, you can browse it on the iPod/iPhone.
It looks just like the iPod on an iPhone, same layout, 'artists, albums, playlists and more' on the bottom and then you can browse the covers etc. when you go into any of the above.

I`m definitely in the Apple TV camp. I connect to the HD621 via HDMI and the music sounds amazing. I had some problems experimenting with streaming using Airport Express and would not recommend it based on my experience.

Thanks to everyone above i now own a lovely Apple TV box and i accidentally bought a new macbook pro at the same time ( cheers for the heads up on the discount codes !! ). All goes great via optical into the G68, although i can't help feeling it doesn't sound as good as my G91 into the G68. Direct comparison between the apple lossless file and CD on the G91 definitely sounded better with the spinner... would this be the case???
One question though. I have my itunes library on the time capsule so i can control the streaming music to the apple tv via the macbook itunes interface which i prefer to using the remote app on my phone. However, can i do the same thing but with the music stored on the apple tv box instead of my main itunes library, to get rid of the intermittent dropout from the wireless streaming?
Thanks again!

thanks. But i think this is just using the apple tv as an airtunes device, much like the airport express. not using itunes on the macbook to remote control the music stored on the ATV box itself. if you see what i mean?

I think you may be right as I haven't tried this. I control my Apple TV with the iPhone App or more frequently the small included remote. As you said in your first post an iPad will probably be the way to go.
