We still have the issue that the firmware is only available up to 1.04 on the Meridian website. Emailed M direct but after about a month received the usual email back, refer to your dealer. This I have not done at present - thought I would wait and do the G68 apodizing firmware upgrade at the same time - haha
As far as my own HD621 is concerned, I have had only a few times when I needed to power down, it has never caused any problems while watching a film etc.
David I asked Meridian (via their support email address) yesterday and received v1.05 today! Excellent service. Alternatively, PM to me if you would like a copy. I should know in about 3 weeks whether or not it removes the need to reboot regularly. Stuart

Stuart
Many thanks for the offer but have now obtained a copy via a previous pm.
I have also referred the issue to the dealer just to see if I can find out why its not public, the documents with the firmware suggest some issues are still under investigation so maybe 1.06 is not far away.
Have not had the time to install it yet.

To answer he question that was asked...I am happy with the HD621 provided it is wired AFTER my Lumagen RadianceXE as the HD621's hand shaking with my Blu-ray/projector is a problem...but the audio is admittedly top notch..

If you have 1.07, do you have any release notes which detail the changes?

David It was to enable proper handling of PCM from SACD. Kal

Kal, I really thought you were kidding. Wow- thats great. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully they will put up 1.07 soon.
PS- I am more than happy with mine after I discovered it does a great job with 2 channel PCM. I will post up shortly.

Kal I did not realise there were any issues with SACD, I run SACD from the Oppo 83 via HDMI into the HD621, do you believe that changes will improve my setup? thank David

Not if you have updated Oppo firmware. The problems I needed to cure were with the Sony XA5400ES.

What were the problems you were having with the Sony/HD-HD621 combination? Did Meridian fix them on your prompting?
I am still curious if the DSD-PCM conversion is different between players like the Oppo and Sony. I realise the differences may be inaudible, but I am just curious...
