Thank you George. I'll try sending a PM to Ncpl.

I`m interested to see if anyone has experienced a significant improvement when listening to music using the PPP before making the investment. I have read that the music became more subtly detailed, the soundstage wider and deeper, the overall sound more natural. I`ve been told the transparent powerbank 8 really is not an effective true power conditioner and that it`s just a place to plug in equipment.

Thanks,

Jim

As with most products, the people that have the PPP like it, those that have the Transparent Powerbank like it, and those that have other solutions like them. They are not too impressed by power conditions others own. It's very tough to find consensus on these things. If possible, to avoid disappointment, it's best to audition a new component in your own system and judge for yourself. I think PS Audio allows you to return the PPP if you are not satisfied; your local dealer ought to extend you the same courtesy.

I have owned a PPP for a few years and am generally happy with it. I have to say that I did not notice any sound improvements versus my prior unit (a Tice powerblock) but it does add some nice switching capabilities and was, and is, quite reasonably priced.

The only time I have heard a dramatic improvement was with the use of an Isotek titan on the power amp that runs my mains speakers. That amp always was a bit noisy, and adding the titan quieted things down considerably.

- Fiddler (IMHO)

If you think listening to music is fun, try learning an instrument.

I've had the PPP in my system now for about two years and am generally pretty happy with it. Sound quality improvements are quite elusive verus my prior conditioner, a Tice Powerblock, however. Have not tried it versus no conditioner, but I'd expect that improvements wrought would depend quite alot on the quality of your mains.
