And More Food for thought.........

Nobody seems to question "Golden" Eyesight.......maybe because the differences are so easily demonstrated

Yet so many seem to question "Golden" hearing.......possibly because it is so difficult to demonstrate any differences

And I do hate the use of the word "Golden" as much as anyone.....just thought it might be appropriate here

And something else to consider.....In a Vacuum you will SEE exactly the same things as you do in the "normal" world

However, in a Vacuum, you will hear absolutely Nothing!!! Sound travels in air to our ears........but also to our bodies

So it must not be forgotten that Sound Waves are an Energy that our body FEELS as much as we hear it through our ears.

IMHO, it is no coincidence that Music and Melody has the power to make us FEEL happy or sad; uplifted or downbeat; energetic or lazy

The power of the Visual in of itself has nowhere near the same power to move us (The story the visual tells us might, but not the visual itself)

Is it any wonder, that many of us can listen to the same music for 5,000 times over 50 years, whilst most will never watch a movie more than twice

Summary: LISTENING for Differences is one thing, but we should also be thinking about how a Music piece might make us FEEL, when played on different equipment

For those of us who continue to play discs... I toy with the idea of a server-type source, and rip CDs losslessly for the iPod and yet... when I have an at-home I like to play and handle the discs - even CDs (I'm such a Luddite!).

If I start saving now, will I have enough money for when M releases the 808.4? .... Maybe the 808.104!
