Hi,
I have gone through the same 2 years ago in London. The final solution is:
3-phase power supply for the house, with one phase separated for AV only. This phase is regenerated by rack mounted 3 x Power Plant Premiere boxes running all AV systems in the house, including the biggie HT with 3 x DSP8000s.
All AV sockets are marked with "AV only!" stickers (so that our cleaner won't connect hoovers into them) and are slightly different than the other sockets (only plate).
The effect is stunning: total lack of any noise, a blackness surrounding each note. No perceived loss of dynamics at all on even the biggest loads - and I can remotely switch the PPPs to by-pass mode to check A/B.
PPPs are showing that input voltage on this phase is around 245 volts with starting THD of around 1.5% - which PPP re-makaes to 230V and around 0.15% THD. Textbook stuff.
It did not cost much extra as the whole house was being re-wired anyway, just raised some eyebrows from "know it all" electrician who obviously did not ever bothered his grey matter with such 'nonsense' before:).
