I haven't upgraded to big DSP speakers and my old 568 and current G68 have both been in use with my current ATC actives.

The 568.1 definitely had a sweetspot for Trifield at Width = 1.3. I reproduced this setup when I changed to the G68 and I spent a bit of time fiddling around changing the width (noticeable!) and confirmed that 1.3 was preferable.

Over the years I have updated my firmware as new versions were released but never tested the width setting again until this matter was raised earlier this year. I can confirm that, as stated above, it now does nothing (that I can hear).

Yes, depth is important for integration of the centre but the width setting is also one of those which "snaps" sound images into the correct focus.
