Being of "advanced years" I now have to wear reading glasses which makes the small print on the back of DVD box covers pretty difficult to read even in good light. However I am really getting annoyed with the latest trends which seem to be: - In "2 disc special editions" you can't tell which disc is the feature and which the extras as this is not clear from the disc labels. - I have just received State of Play (Russell Crowe) and the disc label does not actually have the film title on it, just Crowe's and Affleck's mug shots! Well, actually, it does have the title on. It's round the edge in tiny print which I used a magnifying glass to see. However, the point is, nobody can see this in a darkened cinema room. Why?

However, the point is, nobody can see this in a darkened cinema room. But you could see it in a poorly blacked-out magnolia-walled living room, with the dishwasher and screaming kids in the background, a 37" LCD and a one-box "cinema" system with "satellite" speakers and a boomy "sub". We are a minority, I'm afraid...

lol VK.
Yh, im not into "advanced years" by far but i do have this prblem, i dont want to fiddle around and look for some small print and in some cases, just popping said discs into DVD player as it could be quicker lol.
I wish they just had the wording written properly ie DVD 1 - you know its the feature end of.

Run two DVD players and pick whichever one starts playing the correct disc... Or scratch a big X in the top of the eXtras disc... Or why not label the inside of the DVD case and make sure you always put the discs back in the same positions?

Being of "advanced years" I now have to wear reading glasses which makes the small print on the back of DVD box covers pretty difficult to read even in good light. Hmm. Classic grumpy old man stuff, and I'm 100% with you! Over the past year I'm finding my arms seem to be too short and the light's never good enough to read the stupid tiny print to be found on most CDs (and many other things!). Indeed, the trip to Specsavers was already on the cards for this Saturday morning! Sympathies, from one old git to another! Cheers George

I am sympathetic. I keep a couple of small but powerful LED flashlights on the rack shelves and on the side table.
