And the auto companies are not usually looking to pay big dollars for top of the line audio gear. They just want a name the customers know. I agree with you- I hope that the final product will live up to both companies reputations for excellence.

Following up JerryL's point about costs, car companies (even exclusive ones) are notorious for squeezing price down. Another thing to consider is the absolute time deadlines imposed for delivery for product launch and production items.
From what we know of Meridian's ability to work to deadlines, do you think that they can deliver?
