Hi,

I'm off to get a couple of DSP33s from Andym tomorrow (woohoo - finally all digital!), and have realised that unless they come buttered on both sides (and even then there may be some cable twisting issues), they'll need some sort of support.

Does anyone have any of the fabled 75 series mounts that they'd part with for cash?

Thanks,

Mark.

Without wishing to take it off track, don't they make them anymore then?

I believe the Omnimount 30 series will suffice. Their Pro web site has much better info: http://www.omnimount.com/PRO/default.aspx

Main system (when room is done): 861v4, 7 x DSP33, SW1600, Oppo, Sonos

I originally bought mine from Canford Audio, I know they still do a selection of Omnimounts so it might be worth checking there.

Thanks for the info guys (as usual, you can ask nearly anything here and get great responses immediately). Is that 65 ex vat each?

Are they worth it? I know that DSP33s are heavier than they look (and if Meridian say that, they must be neutron dense) - but that's a lot of money for two steel panels with a bent arm and a ball clamp.

PS: Holtz', I'm still loving that centre. The only problem is that it made such a difference that I've had to upgrade all the other speakers to match!

Are they worth it? All I can say is that in the years I have had them up, they haven't moved a millimetre. They have a very solid construction.

I think that price is each plus vat... (I think) But consider how it beautifully clamps onto the 33 and keeps it secure. Worth the money in my opinion.

Don't make the mistake I made by buying some Omni 75/100 cantilever mounts as they won't fit!!!!!

I'd like to know where the real McCoy might be had also.

cheers

Rgds,
Nick

Mark, this thread is very relevant...

I bought mine in the US and my Dad brought them back for me. Complete rip off at Canford IMO, but you don't have much choice in the UK.

Thanks, guys!

Well - I'm over the moon. Andym (who sold me the speakers) included the mounts as part of the sale. Absolute top bloke!

Now the only problem is that the curtain track conflicts with the arm.

Thanks again for your help. Having lifted the things up, they do feel substantial.
