Those Americans buying their Oppo earlier are now getting the missing blue lens filter for the S&M disk + "AIX Records Audio Calibration and HD Music Sampler Blu-Ray" sent by mail to them (they were not ready before, I've mentioned the AIX disc earlier in this thread). Gary, if you haven't already shipped the players, see to that you get these two items from Oppo and enclose them so you won't have to mail them to us separately (us I understand it, Oppo themselves currently sell to North America only and will therefore only mail these items to North America ).

My formerly troubled Oppo BDP 83 returned at 7:00 pm tonight. It`s earned a lot of a frequent flier miles since its February build, having traveled from China to California and on to Kentucky, then to Calif the first time, back to Ky and back here again, then the latest round trip to Boston.
Imagine, after a thorough going over by Shawn, as I plugged it in, pulled out a CD that had failed before, and …
Perfect, no worries, but without Shawns` generous effort, it may never have been resolved, who knows?
Sounds good, I`ll post an opinion after some listening, though I assume there are many Oppos out there now and many HHers have by now formed independent opinons.

Anyone heard from Gary since 2nd August? Not since his last post here. I actually haven't heard back personally from Gary since July 20. There may be extenuating circumstances. I have waited over three months for a working unit from Gary, although he did deliver the initial unit just over a month from the time the order was placed (HDMI video was broken and the unit had to go back to Oppo).
