It has taken a few days, but finally I have some information coming up re tracking from USPS website.
"Your item was accepted at 3:29 PM on October 7, 2009 in PRESTONSBURG, KY 41653. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."
The website suggests 6-10 business days for Priority International mail, so with luck perhaps 2 weeks to go.

I'm still one of those people who have not had their order satisfied.
I take some comfort from the fact that others are finally seeing their orders satisfied, yet I know that I had no correspondence from Gary for over two months post the initial acknowledgement of my order, and I've been lied to three times since then about when my unit will be shipped. If I am kept informed about what is truly going on, and a true reflection of how long it is going to be before any problems I would be far more reasonable.
This is no way to run a business, and until Gary appreciates and acts on this I could still not recommend that anyone order from him, even if I do ever receive either my unit or the refund I requested a month ago.
I contrast this to Shawn Fogg's business, where I have never had anything but exemplary communication and service and it's chalk and cheese. what is your full name and I will let you know about your order status, thanks -Gary

Gary, letting us know the problems you faced would probably have elicited some sympathy; certainly from me. As it was, the longer I went without any indication of what was wrong, the more suspicious I became. I hope that as far as I'm concerned, as of tomorrow, "all's well that ends well". no problem Joel, if things are ok please end your paypal claim at your earliest convenience thanks for your patience during the wait -Gary

I have just 3 PB orders left not shipped as of the 8th, they are 90% ready to ship just waiting for working SPDIF boards from Shawn, they are Dominic Powell, Gerald Waters and Beat Stocker, these orders ship the day I get the boards in from Shawn as the players are ready to go
I have had a customer just cancel their order for a brand new Oppo with Digital Transport Ed. mods (US wired for 120v), region free, RS-232 add-on and 4x Meridian SPDIF mods, the player has no working analog audio outputs on it and the SPDIF mod uses 4 stock analog audio connectors(makes for a really nice clean install), this player can ship to someone right now(next day after payment), if you are interested please email or PM me, first one that wants it gets it, orders "at" custom-ht.com, USA only as it is 120v
thanks guys
-Gary

-Gary It appears so- looks like it has now left the US, so I should hopefully have it next week.

Anybody else purchase the 4xS/PDIF mod and still have working analog outputs? I did. I had requested that Gary not disable the analog outputs just in case I'd need to use them at some point (i.e. moving this player into my secondary system). They work fine.

-Gary Is that 'ready to go' in the sense that it will be shipped the next working day or 'ready to go' in the sense that someone will still be waiting for it months from now after repeated delays, pathetic excuses, blaming other parties/suppliers and general poor and/or non-communication? I can't make up my mind if it is incredibly gutsy or cheeky to even post this offer here given the content and nature of the rest of this thread........... You haven't even offered a 'good faith/turn idle stock into cash discount' for the valued members of this forum. Cheers, Tony.

Hi Tony, am I correct to assume that you have NOT done any business with Gary, but rather derive your opinion from other people's postings? If this is the case I would kindly ask you to stop for a moment and put yourself into the shoes of somebody who is trying to keep his business running while going through a total mess. Ask yourself: - How will you meet your financial obligations when PayPal freezes your account? - How do you want to get new business if your website is down as a consequence of the PayPal freeze? Now imagine yourself being in that situation trying to resolve those problems and also keep your mod operation running. Got the feeling? Good! So how does it feel if someone keeps pissing on your reputation with nothing better in hand than hearsay? You wouldn't want a jury in court to rule against you on such a basis, would you? So maybe next time it would be wise to think twice before bashing others and potentially ruining their business without first hand evidence, wouldn't it? Just to let you know: I also read the posts here and elsewhere on the web, but I came to the conclusion that Gary finally gave a satisfying explanation for the delays. IMHO everybody is free to come to the same or a different conclusion, but please tell us here about YOUR PERSONAL experiences and don't cook up other people's old stuff. My various communications with Gary have been good and very fast. I actually ordered a player about a week ago. I'll be more than happy to post my experiences with Gary and the player (Ultimate Analog). Cheers, Thomas

Thomas,
Welcome to the forum.
I'm delighted that your week's experience with Gary has been good. That's how it should be.
My 4-month experience has been nothing of the kind. It has still to be resolved, despite numerous requests for a refund, and significant periods with no communication whatsoever.
The only one who's been pissing on his reputation is Gary himself.
