I think I've done a stupid thing. I seem to have misplaced the configuration file for my G68. I'm hoping that I can simply connect the G68 to the computer and then upload the configuration from the G68 to the computer. Does that work? It's been a long time since I've messed with the config program so I don't remember. Isn't there something called "fetch" which will do this?

Thanks for any help!

Yes, you can do a fetch, but you will lose your room correction profile if you had one on there where you do your next store.

That's too bad about losing the RC! I'm still trying to find the config file. I know it has to be somewhere. Since the last time I fiddled with my config I've wiped my hard drives but I think I put it on a USB drive somewhere.

Thanks.

I think I'm going to back up my MRC file just to be safe!

Yes of course always a good idea to back up. Luckily I managed to find my config file so I dodged a bullet. Actually, I should probably re-do the MRC anyway as I've made some changes in my room set up. I should also do the firmware upgrades on the G68 now that I've got my computer set up again with the latest config program. I stopped at 1.36 which was a huge inprovement since I have analog speakers. It fixed a big glitch in the bass range. From reading through the fixes in the last two updates it doesn't seem like anything major. Suppose it's best to be up to date anyway.
