Gee, I thought you were firmly ensconced in the "Meridian won't do a Blu-ray player" camp. What changed your mind? LOL! I've started to figure that Blu-Ray *is* looking successful and that Meridian's new uber-rich target audience doesn't know about the Oppo BD-83 or PS3 or other excellent value for money / absolute value propositions. Meridian retailers will recommend the player, installers will spec it, and the punters will buy it to go along with their 810 video systems...

Now there's an interesting point. I wonder if a Meridian player be region freeable like all before it?

Very unlikely. Even the new Oppo BD-83 is apparently not region free, not even for DVDs from what I've heard...

As an FYI, I have heard from Bob recently and he apologized for the slow send back of the HH Q&A. He stated that this has been the three busiest months in Meridian's history... Since he's been there for all of it, he is certainly in a position to know

Look guys, I've been stupid busy too. I had a 20-hour shift yesterday/today. It would take a few days to a week for me get them formatted for UBB. That wasn't code for "I have them and am editing them" it just means you'll have to be a bit patient with me too Best,

Hi John
Respect and sympathy. Sounds like you need to chill with your system rather than log on here!

ASA: I reworked the system as my means of "chilling" That wasn't a plea for a sympathy vote by the way, I expect that Bob is probably pulling comparably long hours...

Hello John,
maybe i dont understand, why you just make a copy of Bobs email? Do you see a problem if you do so?

Robert:
I never do that without consent, and I don't have Bob's consent to do so.
