Given the seriousness of the Economy and Stock Market I thought this would be worth discussing given our big boy toy budgets. I'm sure Meridian would be interested as well.

It will have some impact as I always view major dips in the market as buying opportunities and tend to invest more than usual.

Cliff I should have added that as a choice. I've certainly taken advantage myself over the past year. But now, holy crap.

No option for me - I would be broke irrespective of the state of the economy.

This question could be seen as a proxy question for profiling the wealth of forum participants. i.e. "Has the economic downturn significantly affected your disposible income?"
(That's not a criticism or an accusation BTW! Just an observation)

Well money invested in the stock market is down by quite a margin. House values are static here in Sweden atm, buyers hope to get cheaper objects while sellers doesn't get as much they got 6 months ago.
I think it's more of a perception issue than a real "income" issue in Sweden atleast.
When I look on the US economy it gets gloomy real fast. But smart buyers can get "cheap" real estate and cheap stocks, timing is everything.

Good question, George. I'd imagine the response will be gold dust for Meridian Marketing.

I find the following choice ironic: "Mega impact, I may have to downgrade or move to non Meridian."
I kinda thought "Mega impact" meant you lost your job and it was likely your home would be foreclosed, rather than you might have to, God forbid, downgrade your hi-fi! I guess it's all relative. In any event, let us be grateful that the downturn in the economy has not "mega-impacted" any of us.
