Just curious what the preferred crossover points are when users configure a sub with music, logic or 5.1 DSP presets in your Meridian exe set ups? Shouldn't the 5.1 crossover point be 120Hz if using DD 5.1 source? What about for 5.1 DTS? Thanks, mark

The 120hz freq is where the LFE brick filter's located. That means there could be a 120hz signal going to the LFE channel, but not a 121hz one.
The usual LFE cutoff freq occurs @ 80hz w/24dB oct. By the time the sub is at 120hz, it is 18dB down.
As far as music, that is the issue with speaker integration. With my magnepans, the std 80hz crossover freq sounds disasterous. I went with a compromise of mid-bass headroom on the mains vs main/sub integration and settled on 51hz.
Since the 565 I have has a bug of not changing the crossover freq even if the front panel indicates otherwise, I went with a 5.0 setup with the sub hooked in-line with the mains. The sub amp's crossover has an active 4th order high/low pass filter.

for music I run 120hz with no sub. Why: my mains full range Paradigm 100's internal c/o from mid/woofers is 240 hz, my Paradigm cc center is not full range, this sounds very smooth and intergated. Logic 80hz and added back the sub. Adds more punch 5.1 DD/DTS(movie) 60 hz with sub. adds even more punch.
(the DTS Music setting will use the music layout)
