The G68 automatically picks up the digital path from the G98 on playing CD,s.How do i configure the G68 to play analogue using the multichannel route taking advantage of the left and right channel decent front leads or should i use a good digital lead with no disadvantage to sound. Is it worth removing the digital lead and use just analogue multichannel and configure for that.Any experience out there

It seems a shame that you have the 98AH rather than DH. Rather than going through a D>A>D stage, I think you'd be best just to use one high quality digital lead from the 98 to the 68, to send CDs as PCM and movies as a bitstream for the 68 to decode. Do you have many DVD-A discs? If not, or indeed if you don't have any, the digital route would be best.
Looking at your overall set up, my adviec would be to sell the 98AH and get a 98DH. From what you say, it would be far better suited for your needs.
Cheers
George
