I am having a problem with my 861 -- I wonder if others have seen the same thing? It is driving a 7.0 DSP speaker setup.
The problem is that when I switch a surround mode, or switch to a different source, the sound turns off. If I hit the Mute button twice, then the sound comes back. This is painful enough when switching manually. The bigger problem comes when playing discs with a mixture of encoding types such as linear PCM or Dolby Digital or DTS. Then when the track switches from one encoding to another, the 861 follows it and the sound switches off. I have to hit the Mute button twice again to hear anything.
I have the 2.80 software and latest firmware uploaded. I know that the 861 used to work properly, but in my new theater it is not behaving. Any suggestions?

I have added side and rear speakers, and used the Meridian software to set things up for 7.0 configuration. This required a number of configuration changes, including eliminating and customizing some of the sources.

To follow up:
I have figured out what caused the bug. I had the audio delay set to 2 frames of video. Changing this back to 0 frames made the bug go away. It is easier to live with some minor lip sync problems than to have to continually hit the Mute button.
Another bug seems to be that you can't set the audio delay individually by the source. Contrary to what you would expect in the Meridian software, it seems to be a global value.

You can sorta set the delay per source.
what you have to do is use the lipsync option in a preset. You can then create a custom preset per source. So when you select a source, it loads a specific preset with your lipsync.
