Is anyone aware of an inexpensive analogue to digital convertor - to get TV into a pair of DSPs in a cost effective manner?
Thanks, David.

There's the new Meridian MPMAX. You'd want something decent to do justice to DSPs, but it's unlikely to be cheap. It is intended to cover exactly what you're trying to do.

Either that or see if you can pick up a bargain 562 (of any variety: whilst there are some subtle differences, the ADC is the same 16/48 device IIRC), but personally I'd go for the 96/24 ADC if your speakers support 96/24.
Edit: Re-reading your original post, I guess you're looking for something cheap and cheerful?

My TV has a digital out, I can even play MP3 via the USB socket. Sorry, Just being smug. I add 8db via the 518 to get it sounding good. Plenty of Freeview PVR's have digital out as well. Good Luck with it. Cheers, Chris
No 18 in the Hall of fame I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

If you have an optical out from e.g. a SKYHD or Sky+ box, then can you run that through a converter from Maplins http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx...p&T=digital%20converter&doy=15m1Cetainly cheap enough.

Cheap and cheerful is where I need to be at with this (its for a friend who recently bought my DSP5000s); the signal is coming from a low-end Sky box.

The other alternative is a cheap eBay Sky box with optical output and an optical to coax converter.
