At this time of year, as my PVR fills up, I burn some TV programs to DVD-V using various freeware apps. Problem is that I live in an area with marginal TV reception and the recordings sometimes suffer from glitches (on normal TV viewing that might be slight pixelation, whilst on the DVD-V recording it tends to be a brief picture freeze of a second or so, where the software replaces damaged frames with previous good ones). Problem is that my 598 will just give up and go into standby with particularly long glitches.
Has anyone else seen anything similar?
I could report the issue to M (with samples), but I suspect they will be less than helpful with what is a non standard disk.

Hi Mortod,
I think they'd sympathise but I doubt they'd devote any resource to resolve it...especially given that broadcast standards vary so much and your DVD recording standard may be out also. Worth an ask though in case there's a setting somewhere that can expand the tolerances of playback.
