As my 800 V3 is on it's way back to M with what seems to be a bad ROM Drive, I was wondering if a V4 upgrade was worth having done?
I have the video angle coverd already as the unit has an SDI module which feeds an external VP.
Any opinions on audio improvements with V4?

You get a basic Video Processor with inputs - S-video, component and composite.
It is basic but does the job.
Otherwise there is not much in it.

No sonic enhancement- if you have much older 800v3, then Meridian updates/changes power supply during v4 upgrade.
