I am waiting to receive a Pioneer dv668 universal player from DVDupgrades in Switzerland and curious how I would setup the 861 for this player.
In mconfig would I choose generic as the source or choose 800 as the source? If I choose generic and assign three coax inputs into the 861 is that it?
Thanks for the reply
John

John:

Define it as a multi-channel digital source and it should build the connection cleanly.

If you define it as an 800 it will try to use COMMs which will make things get a little weird.

Not quite. You need to explicitly add a multichannel digital output to the source. I believe you can only do this once the source has been created; then right-click and add a new connection of type multichannel digital. It's quite unambiguous when you do it right. Then, when you drag from the multichannel output to the 861, it will ask if you want to create a multichannel connection.
