Simple question, not in the Wiki.

How easy to convert UK-US and vice versa power in M products?

Depends on the product. Some are multi voltage, some need a new fuse, some need a new PSU and possibly some can be converted by using a different take off point on the transformer.

I think it was decided that Meridian will be able to advise based on the records that they hold for that individual product/serial number as there seems to be some variation even within a product run.

I moved from the UK to the USA a couple of years ago and brought my M kit with me. The G08 CD player senses voltage and adapts automatically, but my 502 pre-amp and 557 power amp had to go back to M for transformer changes (and I have the original transformers in case I return to the UK). So, it depends on the kit - age/vintage and current load are factors too.

On the 565 it is possible to change position on a couple of wires on the transformer to convert the voltage.

Thank you for the email and for purchasing Meridian. The 565 processor can have the voltage tappings adjusted for 220v operation. Please ensure the alterations are implemented by a electronics engineer.
