I am familiar with all the bit-perfect business...For my two channel music I have an external DAC feeding some Classe stuff from the Delta series (using Foobar2k/Asio). Needless to say it sounds much better than the Meridian.

However for the DTS music I was planning to use my G68 to do the decoding until I had these pop/spike issues. I also wanted analog out from my HTPC for the HI-DEF audio stuff for the obvious reasons.

I am using the X-Meridian soundcard with upgraded OP-amps and I must say the analog out is very good. I don't think it is as good as the Meridian, but then again I don't want to burn my tweeterts.

Ok, just checking that you were aware of the options.

- Fiddler (IMHO)

If you think listening to music is fun, try learning an instrument.
