I read in wiki in "lateency, phase, and distances" the following:
"Upgrade everything to the latest firmware - you know you want to anyway. Then set distances by ear as well just in case."
Someone can explain me like do to set up the distance by ear?
Thanks,
Umberto

I personally have a hard time updating distance by ear or with an SPL meter, because the differences are so small. I do see and hear small differences but I find it hard to be confident I moving in the correct direction.

Rhonda (R&D at M) talked about changing the distance until your hear the lowest pitch. First set the distance as measured, and then with the phase test tones, increase it slightly and you should hear the pitch increase. Likewise when going the other way. I did give it a try, but I found it very subtle.
