I've just upgraded (don't laugh) my PC speakers to some M33s which are now sitting on my desk. They sound fantastic - talk about wall of sound (the listening position is very narrow though!). Anyway I was wondering if anybody knew of any stands that I could use in this scenario.

If you are just looking for isolation, you could try the old blue-tack trick

Thanks for the suggestions. I will probably go down the blu-tac route as I'm not sure how long I'll keep the M33s for. Average thanks for the link if I do keep them for the long term then I may get some. At the moment my office space dictates that they have to be on my desk.


For anyone that spends a lot of time at their PC, I really would recommend these speakers - they do sound amazing!

They are like a 'Tardis'; Bigger sound than the outside would suggest.

The longer you live with them, the more you will appreciate them, of that I am sure.

My M33C never ceases to amaze me.

You can wall mount the M33's, the brackets are not cheap though.

Chris- you're not wrong there - especially when seated less then a metre away from them.

I'm working through my different genres as we speak and they do a fantastic job with electronic music (currently listening to old Human League instrumental album "Love and Dancing"!!)

I`ve got a good mind to put my HH T shirt on for full effect!!!

Do you have a link to the wall brackets? Or any other info on them?

Disaster has struck

(1) I am replying to my own thread

(2) These little speakers are more revealing then my 5000 MKIIs

I use some small black rubber feet, similar to the ones used for the bottom of electronic components to stabilize my pair. This was a cheap way to keep them flush on my speaker stands.

Tom, I've read a few reviews or comments about "near field" listening, which is what you're doing with the M33's. Some common comments are about the extra detail that comes through. How about trying that with the 5000's for comparison's sake?

I will do just that. At the moment my M33s are about 110 cm away from each other. My listening position in about 100cm from both speakers. Would I be right in thinking that I will need to replicate that with the 5000 setup?

but don't move them once they're semi tight else you'll score the material that grips the bracket.

Just think what it would sound like with a half decent interconnect, proper mains cables and a fast sub to fill in the bottom end... hehe
