Can someone explain to me better than Meridian manual on how to remove the front grille?
I tried it but I could not get it opened.

I don't have the answer, but I am intrigued why you would want to do this? cleaning?

Tightening the drivers?
Grip opposite edges of the grille disc with your fingernails and just edge it out and away. You may have to nudge it back and forth a little. I think they use the same push fit as the 8ks.

The 5200s do use a very tight fit; and it takes a little effort to get the buggers out.

Be careful when removing the grilles. I managed to snap one the second time I removed it to tighten the speakers again - and they needed it. Fortunately, it pushed back in and you can't tell its broken. I haven't tried removing them since, so I hope the drivers don't need tightening anymore. Stunning sound with a G08. George is right, I want to tighen the drivers. If tightening the driver does not have any effect on the sound, than I won't bother opening it. Now, I need to wait until my finger nails grow before trying it.  Tillman, did you do according to what the manual says? I am afraid to damage the grille. I think I will leave it opened for a while once I successfully open it. Cheers, Harry

I folowed the instructions in the manual, but I think I used a little too much force as they are quite a tight fit. They need to be teased out.
Tightening the drivers, tightened up the sound.

Thanks for inspiring me to tighten the drivers on all my speakers. It sounds fantastic, (as always) I think I am getting more detail and subtlety. The improvment is, however, subtle. But there none-the-less. Cheers, Chris

You need a mechanics Feel, Just firm enough. The size of the bolts is a clue. You wont get a torque wrench that small. If in doubt leave it alone and get a confidant friend to do it. Cheers, Chris

I managed to open the grille of the center channel and I did tighten the bolt. It was not that loose since I just bought it 5 weeks ago. I could not open the grilles of the main speakers. For some reason they are very tighly fitted. It is frustrating.
Do I need to send a Meridian technician to come to my house???
