Does anyone know how to completely reset a 565? Mine had taken to ignoring my setting of two surrounds and asking for the size of "sides" and "rear" speakers. I know from past, painful, experience that it will not work well with analog sides but it insists on requesting their size. I think if I could completely reset it I could get it working.

The way it is now all I can get is noise from the speakers. Needless to say, this is very frustrating.

I once asked M how to reset to factory defaults when I was having issues (which I found out later was my own doing) They only told me to re-type, I agree though it still does retain some settings.

Tnanks but retyping doesn't seem to help, it insists on asking for side speakers even though the number of surrounds is set to 2 - and any time it asks for sides I know it will not work.

Hi
If you have chosen a speaker layout with sides, the 565 will ask for the sides size - try to select another speaker layout who not includes optional sides, then you wont have this "problem" anymore.

Hi again.
Yesterday I changed my speaker layout, and then noticed that I'd also get the selection of side sizes even if I had selected a set up with only 2 rears. I don't experience any problems because of this, what exactly are the problem that you experience?
