Not exactly good news in my opinion.

It all depends upon how much independence Slimdevices are allowed to retain to run their aspect of the business. I'm not too optimistic for the long term, but we'll see.

Hmm .... last time I looked at Meridian's accounts they were not looking too healthy. I shouldn't think they will be buying anyone. If anything I would expect them to be bought!
I would prefer Apple to buy Roku ....

Not sure if it's relevent, but I have owned two Harmony remotes - one pre-Logitech, one after Logitech bought Harmony. The second one (a newer model, released post-acquisition) is of far higher quality than the older one. Feels more solid, is more reliable...

I have tried several Logitech keyboards and mice over the years. Without fail each one had to be returned for manufacturing defects. This is too small a sample to be the rule for all, but in my case I avoid Logitech products.
