Tried uploading the new 5.1 firmware, and on my slave D5K I briefly see an error 4 before the uload continues. But the speaker no longer makes any sound.
Am awaiting response from M. But anyone seen this before or know what Error 4 is ?

Try retyping the speaker.
Review page 31 of the DSP 5000 user guide.
This worked for me.

Yep - same advice from M. Oddly it seemed to have changed to use D2 for all inputs. But re-typing to ! switched it back to normal. Thanks Arcade.

Now I understand !
After I had uploaded the new firmware, I noticed that the speaker had set itself to 'R. Slv2'. Re-typing to '1' set it back to 'R. Slv.'.
It seems that the new firmware supports two configurations of slave - one that defaults to its D1 input and the other to its D2 input. Not sure why you would want to do that though.
Still not sure of the significance of that error 4 though.
