I'm interested in some electrostatic speakers for L, R, and C that with a range down to 50hz. The rear electrostatic speakers in the range that I would need to use for space reasons only have a range down to 130 hz. The G68 only lets you select 1 crossover so I think I'ld need to select 130 which seems a waste for the L, R, and C. I could set the L, R, and C as large speakers but I think I'ld need to select the bassheavy setting so the signal below 50hz sent to the L, R, and C also goes to the subwoofer. I guess I worry this won't give me an optimal result because I don't really have a crossover between the L, R, and C and the subwoofer. Guess I'ld be interested in the views of any other members on whether this would give me satisfactory results or if I should just stick with more balanced speakers which probably means non-electrostatic.

Or badger Meridian to provide crossovers on a per-pair basis. Without full (20Hz) range fronts, this is the problem everyone encounters...

you can try two things that come to mind.

1- set the 50hz speakers to large and use the protection circuit. this will give them full range sound and I am not so sure where the LFE goes as its been a while I've thought about this.

2- if your sub has a high/ low pass then place the sub somewhat close to one of the front speakers where it will have its best output and then run the L&R interconnects to the sub, run the high pass interconnects from the sub to your amp and use the xover in the sub. Then tell the G68 that your L&R are large with no protection and that you have no sub in your system. now you will get the full range sound + LFE to the fronts. You can set the rears (center?) as small and use the proper xover for them.
