I'm renovating a condo and plan for a pair of rear ceiling speakers to mate wih my three M33's across the front. Are the Meridian P200Z speakers available yet? Any idea as to price? Has anyone heard them yet and how do they sound?

Thanks...gregg

Yes, they are available. Price in the UK is 182.50 each. However, they are only available as either passive or active - not digital.

Thanks!

At that price point, they are bit downstream from the rest of M's offerings. Has anyone listened to them installed? I'm wondering if there is a _significant_ difference between the P200Z's and any number of other similar in-ceiling speakers, such as Russound, B&W, Sonance, etc. Does anyone know if M is actually manufacturing the ceiling speakers versus subbing the process out to another mfr?

Are the M420's able to be mounted in the ceiling as opposed to the wall?

My goal is to try to get close integration with the M33's, whilst using "hidden" rear ceiling speakers for the WAF.

What about the 320, 330 and 350? Any update on pricing? Specifically I am after the DSP models of the new in wall speakers.

3x DSP5200 L, R and C (all vertical), 4x Triad Silver in-wall surrounds and 6x Triad Silver in-ceiling ATMOS speakers, Triad Silver subwoofer, Denon AVR-X8500H, JVC DLA-7500 4K projector and Screen Research 120" AT 2.35:1 screen.

Chris1971,

Looks like a false dawn, as the latest datasheet on the Meridian Media website indicates these are passive designs only (no availability on pricing either).

One thing that I would think makes the digital in wall speakers better than passive ones is the likelihood of no noise from long speaker wire runs. The "downside" is you have much fewer source choices.
