Hello,
I used to connect a DVD Player/Sky Box and Camcorder to a G68XXV processor through Component Video (CVI) terminals and to take advantage of the Video Switching (VSW). I installed a G98DH and now I connected the G68XVV CVI output to G98DH CVI in and scaled the signal on it, the problem is that I can not get any signal in my TV (JVC).
Apparently you have to configure the G98 in "Type 4" to do VSW on G68 and scaling on G98, but it is not working, any tip?

You should continue to do the video switching on your G68, so instead of going G68, to G98, to TV, connect your G98 and SkyBox to your G68, to your TV.

I have my G98DH/G68XXV set up using the G98 as the video switcher as you want to operate.
You can't scale the Component output from the G98 - only the HDMI. You can deinterlace to 480p using the G98 by setting the scaler to "scaled" and the setting to "Deinterlace". You get standard 480i by setting the scaler to SD. Any other setting produces no output on the component terminals. This may be your problem.

Thank you guys!
The thing is that The Sky Component Video is connected to G68 on "Y3" and it to G98 Component in I have signal to the TV .
But when I connect the Pioneer DVD Component to G68 in "Y2" and Sony HD Camcorder in "Y1" then to G98 I have no signal to TV!!

Is it Sky HD or are you using progressive scan? If so, make sure the G98 is set as bypass for the HD or progressive scan component inputs. This definately will apply to the HD camcorder. If this is the case, don't go looking for any output on anything other than component. G9x will not output HD or progressive scan component over HDMI.

Have you got all the connections "drawn" as you have them in the diagrammatic representation of your system in the Mconfig programme? If so, type to Type 4 and then download your config to the system. The video input to the G98 from the G68 should be set to bypass as you cannot scale/deinterlace to the G98 component out if you have dissimilar input types. Basically, the scaler is no use to you in this configuration.

Many thanks to all! I set the signal up as "bypass", now the G68 is switching and the G98 connected to TV.
Thanks.
